You may submit typed or printed recipes to Marg Baker via email at
c.mbaker@xplornet.ca, or hand deliver them to her. The last time a Stone Church cookbook was published

Confirmation Classes
If you are interested in confirmation, please contact Barbara, at 519-767-9609, or Peter Guthrie, at 519-833-2496.
Classes will begin in the new year.
Prayer Box
As we begin the year 2012 and the 150th Anniversary of Stone United Church, and as we enter into a search
for a minister for our pastoral charge, it is a time for us all to hope and pray for the continuation
of a strong effort to keep our church going. For the next year, a small black prayer box will sit at the
back of the Sanctuary, near the coffee station. Please feel free to add prayers you have for this special
year, and for the courage and guidance that we can give to our Search Committee. They are faced with the
challenge of finding a minister who will help us go forward in our Faith Journey. Written prayers can be
anonymous, and may be added to the service if our minister wishes, but silent prayers are also much
appreciated.

Ad Hoc Committee Questionnaire Results
The Ad Hoc Committee would like to take this time and thank all of those who took the time to fill
out our questionnaire. Your input is very important to us and helpful in our search for an appointed
minister (January-June 2011).
Below we have published the results of the survey. You will note that the two congregations have similar
views on where the minister should spend their time, and desire similar attributes in a minister. Although
the order is not the same from both congregations the actual differences were quite small.
We have reviewed resumes in the past week and we will begin the interviewing process in the coming weeks.
Ad Hoc Committee: Colleen Baeumler, Rick DeJonge, Liz Guthrie and Brent Stiles.

Faith Formation Online (from Hampack)
There are a number of spiritual communities who have chosen to use
the internet to expand their ministry by offering ways to connect with worldwide communities
or explore some faith formation practices in
the privacy of our own homes. If you are looking for some paths to contemplation, here are a
few sites I have recently come across:
An invitation to make a “Sacred Space” in your day, and spend ten minutes praying
as you sit at your computer, with the help of on-screen guidance and scripture chosen specially
every day can be found at www.sacredspace.ie
and is produced by the Irish Jesuits.
“Give us awareness, O God, to experience the miracle of your presence in our everyday world;
it is in you that we live, move and have our being.” If this prayer catches your heart, then
go to www.praythenews.com offered by the Carmelites
of Indianapolis.
Do you have a daily commute? You can download a free daily meditation
in MP3 format from www.pray-as-you-go.org.
Do you want to read some Christian Classics? Then log on to
www.ccel.org and be connected with the Christian Classic Ethereal Library.
On PAR
For more information on PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) or if you wish
to subscribe please speak with Eileen. Applications are available in the Narthex
